Once the appropriate Instagram account is connected, supported messages reach your team inbox. Connection depends on account type, permissions and its Meta account relationship.
Before you start
You need channel-management permission in Message Pro and administrative access to the professional Instagram account and linked Meta account.
Steps

Choose Instagram
In Account settings, open Channels, choose Add channel and select Instagram.

Authorize with Meta
Use the account that manages Instagram and select the intended account in the authorization window.

Review the connection
Confirm that you selected the correct account and granted the required messaging permissions.

Choose the follow-up team
Review the inbox name and the teammate or team responsible for messages.

Send a test message
Use a different Instagram account to send a direct message. Confirm it appears in Message Pro and can be answered.
Check the result
Instagram shows as connected and the test message and reply arrive with their conversation context.
