Add and review AI agent knowledge sources

Choose approved knowledge, wait for processing, then test agent answers before relying on them.

Published · Updated

An agent answers using the sources enabled for it. Add focused, current material instead of a collection of outdated or conflicting files. A newly added source may not be ready immediately.

Before you start

You need agent-management access and rights to use the content. Prepare approved answers and policies, and remove unnecessary sensitive data.

Steps

  1. 1

    Open knowledge sources

From the agent page, open Knowledge for the agent you want to update.

  2. 2

    Add a suitable source

Add a file or URL if available and use a name that identifies its subject and version.

  3. 3

    Wait until ready

Review processing status and confirm the source is active and eligible to be enabled; pending material may not affect answers yet.

  4. 4

    Enable and test

Enable the source for the agent, then ask one question it covers and another it does not.

  5. 5

    Keep it current

When a policy or price changes, update the approved source and retest before relying on new answers.

Check the result

The source is ready and enabled, and sample answers match the approved content.
